Introduction to DSLR Photography


This class is designed for new owners of DSLR or Mirrorless camera and enthusiast who would like to say goodbye to auto mode and advance their photography.

The objective of the class is to cover basics of landscape photography and make you comfortable switching your camera to its semi-manual and full manual modes so that you can start exploring its possibilities. Topics of Aperture, Shutter Speed, and ISO will be covered in easy to understand manner. We will discuss how they affect each other and how they can be used creatively. We will also talk about gear needed for landscape photography and discuss some locations in Seattle and the surrounding mountains where you can go practice your new skills.


Basics of Photo Editing


In this class, we will cover basics of photo editing in Adobe Lightroom. I will show you how to take a RAW file from your camera and make few easy adjustments to bring it to life. This will be a hands-on class and I encourage you to bring one or two of your own RAW files you can work with.
